This is an example of frame with in a frame. The monument is being photographed between two columns which makes the monument look as though it is in a frame itself.

This photo focuses viewers attention by making the picture black and white, except for the center clover which is bright green. The eye goes directly to that clover.

This photo show balance, layout and arrangement. The way the swimmer is positioned with the shadow under him gives a sense of the size of the pool.
Even though photo shows as using the rule of thirds, I see more of a difference in perspective. The railroad tracks and the telephone poles are narrowing and getting smaller toward the back of the picture. These two items seem to be going on forever.

This image is showing the rule of thirds. The image of the female is within the six grids to the right. This image also uses contrast. The female and the cliffs are made through negative space and the sky is from a positive.
